Office painting, Canberra wide
Offices take a beating. Corridors get scuffed, kitchen walls pick up marks and meeting rooms slowly fade. Over time, the space stops matching the business inside it.
A well-painted office does quiet work for you. It tells your staff the place is looked after, and tells clients the same thing the moment they walk in.
We're Sattlers Painting, a fourth-generation family business based in Franklin. We've been painting across Canberra and Queanbeyan for 20+ years, and we bring that same craft to office painting in Canberra.
That means the whole city. It might be an office floor in Civic or Barton, or a smaller suite in Belconnen, Woden, Gungahlin or Tuggeranong. Every office has its own layout, lighting and foot traffic, so we look at yours properly before we price anything.
For most businesses, the colour isn't the worry. The real worry is disruption. Staff working around ladders and drop sheets. Paint smell in the air. Clients walking past half-finished walls. A job that drags on longer than anyone planned.
Those are fair concerns, and we plan around them first. A good office repaint should leave you with a clean, lasting finish and a business that kept running the whole time.

Sound familiar?
Most office repaints get delayed for the same few reasons.
We can't shut the office just to paint it. People still need to work.
Last time the walls were done, half the team had headaches by lunch.
I don't want to walk in on Monday and find paint on the carpet or the monitors.
They said a few days. It ran for weeks, and nobody told us why.
Between the landlord and building management, I'm not even sure who signs off on this.
How we handle it
Most of these problems come from poor planning, not poor painting. So we start by learning how your office runs. When is it busy? Which rooms can't close? Who needs to sign off? Then we build the job around your answers.
Your office stays open. We work in stages, one area at a time, so the rest of the business keeps going.
No surprises on smell. We talk through paint choices and airflow with you before we start, so your team knows what to expect.
Your workspace stays clean. Desks, carpet and equipment are covered before a tin is opened, and we clean up at the end of every day.
A timeline you can plan around. You get a clear plan up front, and you hear from us directly if anything changes.
Sign-off made simpler. We can work with your landlord or building manager on access times and approvals.
Tell us how your office runs, and we'll plan the repaint around it.

What's included
Office painting sits within our commercial painting in Canberra and covers the inside of your workplace. Every office is different, so we price each job on what you actually need painted.

Plasterboard walls, partition walls and feature walls, including your brand colours.
Flat ceilings, cut in cleanly around lights, vents and sprinklers.
The parts that take the most knocks, finished to stand up to daily use.
The spaces clients see first, where a clean finish counts most.
Finishes chosen to cope with moisture, splashes and regular wiping.
Tougher, washable finishes for the areas trolleys, chairs and bags keep bumping.
Filling holes left by old screens, shelves and fittings before any paint goes on. Hard-wearing floors in storerooms or plant rooms are a separate job, covered by our commercial epoxy floor coating.
1
Walkthrough
We visit your office, see how it runs and give you a free quote.
2
Plan
We agree on the order of rooms, the timing and any building approvals.
3
Protect
Desks, floors, equipment and fittings are covered before work starts.
4
Prep
We fill, sand, clean and spot-prime, because the finish is only as good as what's under it.
5
Paint
We work area by area and clean up at the end of each day.
6
Final check
We walk through the finished office with you and fix anything you're not happy with.
Local considerations: Canberra winters are cold, and paint dries slowly in a cold room. If we're painting between May and September, we check that heating will run while the paint cures. Larger buildings in Civic, Barton or Woden may also need lift bookings, site inductions or set work hours, so we sort those out while we plan.

Why Sattlers
A family painting business with trade standards passed down four generations.
Four generations of craft
Painting is our family trade, and our training comes from a European master craftsman. You'll see it in the details, like clean cut-in lines and even coverage.
You deal with us directly
We're a family-run team, not a call centre. You deal with us from the first walkthrough to the final check.
Paperwork your building manager will ask for
We hold ACT licence 118644C and carry $10M public liability insurance. If your landlord or building manager needs proof of cover, we can provide it.
Prep comes first
We'd rather spend longer on prep than repaint the same wall next year. It's how we do things right the first time.
Fair pricing, no pressure
Quotes are free and our pricing is competitive. You get a clear price and time to decide.
Local and accountable
We're based in Franklin, in Canberra's north, and we've been painting across Canberra and Queanbeyan for 20+ years. That work covers homes and businesses in both new and established suburbs.
Painting is a trade our family has passed down four generations. We're still a close-knit family team, with the next generation learning the trade on the job.
We've been members of the Housing Industry Association for over 20 years, and we're members of the Master Painters Association. Our licence, insurance and memberships are all current, and we're happy to show you before you book.
Being local helps with office work too. Gungahlin town centre, Belconnen and Civic are a short drive from our base, so walkthroughs and follow-up visits are easy to fit in.

Office painting FAQs
Yes, we work in stages so the rest of your office stays open. We agree the order of rooms with you at the walkthrough, and busy areas get done when they're quietest.
It depends on the size of the space, how much prep the walls need and how much of the office stays in use. You get a clear timeline with your quote, once we've seen the office. We won't cut prep to hit a shorter date, because rushed prep is how finishes fail early.
There can be some smell while paint dries, so we plan for it before we start. We'll work out which areas get painted when and keep air moving. If anyone on your team is sensitive to smells, tell us at the walkthrough.
Often, yes, because many commercial leases treat painting as an alteration. Check your lease and get approval in writing first. We can then work with your landlord or building manager on colours, access and timing.
Yes. We hold ACT licence 118644C and carry $10M public liability insurance. We can provide proof of cover if your building manager asks for it.
