Land is still being released and built out around the town centre, and a large share of the housing near it is strata-titled apartments and townhouses rather than standalone blocks. That pace and density change how we plan a job here, more than the weather does.
We coordinate around body corporate and strata approval before starting exterior work, since a large share of homes near the town centre are apartments and townhouses on shared titles.
We plan site access around a genuinely busy, built-up precinct, working with commercial neighbours, car parks and shared driveways rather than a quiet residential street.
We factor ongoing construction and land release into scheduling, since access and parking can shift as new stages of the town centre open up.
We still work Canberra's frost and UV cycle into scheduling here the same as anywhere else in the region, but the real difference in Gungahlin is the density and pace of growth, not the climate.
A 32-hectare precinct on the eastern side of Gungahlin Town Centre is still being progressively released by the ACT Government, one of the clearest signs of how fast this part of the district is still growing.

A genuine share of Gungahlin's housing is strata-titled, so getting body corporate sign-off before exterior work starts is a normal part of scheduling a job here.
Gungahlin sits on the Gungahlin-to-City light rail line and a major bus interchange, so we plan around light rail and bus movements through the town centre when scheduling site access.
Many buildings near the town centre are multi-storey apartments or townhouses on shared titles, so scaffolding and access gear has to work within a shared site, not just one block.

Finding Sattlers Painting from Gungahlin
We're based just south of Gungahlin, on Maris Street in Franklin, close enough that a Gungahlin job is barely a drive at all.
From Gungahlin Town Centre, we head south along Flemington Road or Well Station Drive, both of which run along the boundary between Gungahlin and Franklin, straight to Maris Street. It's a short trip, only a few minutes.

Possibly. Parts of Gungahlin, like the Town Centre East precinct, are still being built out, so a lot of buildings here are genuinely new. That doesn't mean the paintwork won't need attention within the first few years though, especially on sun-facing exterior surfaces. We're happy to take a look and give you an honest read.
